What we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. Last updated August 24, 2026.

Who we are

This website is operated by Scott Contracting & Excavating, a division of The Roc Doc Ventures Ltd., at 3239 Corine Road, West Kelowna, BC V4T 1V9. We handle personal information in line with British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

What we collect

The only personal information this site collects is what you type into the quote request form: your name, a phone number or email address, and whatever you choose to tell us about your project and its location. There is no account system and nothing is collected behind the scenes while you browse.

Why we collect it

One reason: so we can respond to your enquiry. We use your contact details to reach you about the work you asked about, and we use the project details to prepare for that conversation. Submitting the form is your consent to be contacted about your request.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not add you to a marketing list. We do not run advertising trackers on this site, and the site does not use cookies.

Who handles the data along the way

Form submissions are delivered to our office inbox by Resend, an email delivery service. The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data (such as IP addresses) to serve pages and defend against attacks. Page typefaces load from Google Fonts, which sees your browser's request for those font files. These providers process data on our behalf and may do so on servers outside Canada.

Sharing within our companies

If your enquiry is really an abatement or salvage job, we may pass it to our sister divisions, Haztec Solutions or Smokin Joe's Recycling and Salvage, so the right crew calls you back. They operate from the same yard under the same parent company. Your information goes no further than that without your consent, unless the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our office email while they are live and for as long as reasonably needed afterwards for business records. If your enquiry becomes a job, the details become part of the project record and are kept as required by law.

Your rights

Under PIPA you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent to further contact. Call 250-768-1118 or email scottexcavating@live.com and ask for the privacy contact. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.

Changes

If we change how this site handles personal information, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it.
