Recycling
What comes off a site stays out of the landfill.
Recycling runs through Smokin Joe's Recycling and Salvage, the third arm of the operation, at our own yard in West Kelowna. Metals, timber and demolition materials get sorted, graded and recycled instead of dumped.
Steel, copper, aluminum, brass and tin. Timber posts, beams, lumber and glulam. Concrete, asphalt and rock crushed back into usable aggregate. On recent major projects that loop has kept 80% or more of demolition material out of the landfill.
The yard also takes material in. If you have metals or salvage of your own, Smokin Joe's buys and accepts drop-offs.
