The job.

The District of Peachland expanded its water storage at Glen Lake, and Scott Contracting & Excavating delivered the earthworks: dewatering, borrow pit development, riparian works and around 600 cubic metres of topsoil placed across the finished surfaces.

Working in a community watershed sets the rules. Everything on the job, from dewatering discharge to how the borrow pits were cut and reclaimed, ran to keep the water clean downstream of us.

The reservoir works were completed through 2011, and the job still stands as a reference point for our civil and environmental earthworks. It is also the line of work the company was founded on: excavation, done carefully, in places that matter.
