School Fire Loss.
Demolition and clearing of a fire-destroyed school in a northern First Nations community, run through winter for the insurer. Remote mobilization, the kind of distance most outfits will not quote.
The job.
When a school in a northern First Nations community was destroyed by fire, the insurer’s consultants at JS Held needed a contractor willing to take the job where it was: a long way north, in winter.
Scott Contracting & Excavating mobilized crew and equipment to the community and carried out the demolition and clearing of the fire-damaged structure through the cold months. Fire losses are messy scopes: compromised structure, mixed debris, and material that has to be handled and documented for the insurance file rather than simply hauled away.
The distance is the part most outfits will not quote. We work all of British Columbia, and remote mobilization is a scope line, not a deal-breaker.
