The job.

The Paterson port of entry sits on the Canada-US border south of Rossland, and it cannot simply close for construction. Working for Greyback Construction, Scott Contracting & Excavating is demolishing the existing federal border infrastructure in phases while the crossing keeps operating.

Phased demolition at a working border post means every stage is planned around live operations: traffic lanes stay open, sight lines and security functions stay intact, and the work area moves in agreed steps rather than one big clearance.

The project is in progress through 2026. It is a good example of the sequencing work we do on operating sites, where the demolition plan matters as much as the machines.
